Cops Arrest and Accuse Black Actress of Prostitution After Kissing White Boyfriend

Danièle Watts, star of Django Unchained, claims she was arrested by police after they observed her kissing her boyfriend in public, assuming that she was a prostitute with her client.

Below is an excerpt from a post to her Facebook page.

“Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place.

When the officer arrived, I was standing on the sidewalk by a tree. I was talking to my father on my cell phone. I knew that I had done nothing wrong, that I wasn’t harming anyone, so I walked away.

A few minutes later, I was still talking to my dad when 2 different police officers accosted me and forced me into handcuffs.”

Her boyfriend, Chef Brian James Lucas, also posted to his own Facebook page corroborating the story.

“Today, Daniele Watts & I were accosted by police officers after showing our affection publicly. From the questions that he asked me as D was already on her phone with her dad, I could tell that whoever called on us (including the officers), saw a tatted RAWKer white boy and a hot bootie shorted black girl and thought we were a HO (prostitute) & a TRICK (client).”

Also on Lucas’ page is a photo of an injury Watts sustained while being arrested, a gash on her arm. According to Lucas, the couple are pursuing legal recourse and have been in contact with lawyers, the ACLU, and the NAACP.

It’s about time they made kissing white people a crime. Will someone now please go arrest Kenye West? Wait, is Kim Kardashian white?

What an outstanding dearth of sensibility there is being cultivated in the U.S.

This kind of stuff used to only be available in dystopian sci-fi novels.

  • They’ll do it every time

I think they where baiting the police.

Dress like a whore and hang out where it’s known that whore work, you should expect the police to react like they did.

This is a couple minor celebrities trying to make get some coverage and give decent police officers a bad name.

First of all, “whore” is a very poor choice of words. I think what you are referring to are SEX WORKERS.. and secondly, who is to decide how sex workers dress? It clearly says in the article that she was FULLY CLOTHED (and even if she were to be showing her body, who cares?). I highly doubt that this couple was like “hm I think we should go provoke cops to harass us in public just a moment of fame”.
      Bye @ ur ignorance!!

Kissing and falling in love is a crime now! How sad and what a stupid police force there.
