Taxation Enforced by Kidnapping at the Barrel of a Gun

Most people just accept taxes as a certainty of life, pay them and go about their way.  The origin of the income tax is often attributed to the Revenue Act of 1913 which was signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson.  However, during the Civil War Congress passed the Revenue Act of 1861 to help cover genocide expenses.  The Act was repealed 10 years later.

Taxation is enforced by kidnapping at the barrel of a gun.  Taxation is backed by the threat of violence to people who have harmed no one.  Their only crime is the refusal of extortion. This is the story of Ed & Elaine Brown.
